Zumba Classes Melbourne

Zumba is an all new fitness phenomenon which is taking the taking the world by storm-and its global fan base claims that it is the closest that a workout comes to becoming a total party-some even claim that IS a party! In an amazingly short time the Zumba path to fitness has spread across almost all continents to over FIFTY countries worldwide! What is it about zumba that makes it so catchy? And even more-what makes it so effective?

The concept behind Zumba is an incredibly simple but powerful-if a workout becomes a total party experience which exhilarates rather than tires, it simply ceases to be conscious effort anymore! This is what Zumba is about, making working out an exhilarating experience! Remember the last time you partied the night away? A zumba session feels much the same-with the added benefit that you tone, shape and sculpt your body in the process! Thus it is easy to get hooked onto the fitness routine and the clients of Zumba instructors are actually surprised to see the pounds just keep melting off as they walk away from a session energized, and not drained like a conventional workout would leave them!

Zumba is exactly as the name suggests-a radical fusion of various popular dance beats such as salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, calypso, soca, samba, African, cha cha, hip hop with resistance training to create a full body work out which burns calories, shapes and tones muscles and leaves you feeling fit and charged up at the end of the workout. The atmosphere is more like a party than anything else-with free body movement and the hallmark of any zumba class is that everyone has a great time!

The amazing flexibility and simplicity of the technique allows Zumba to cater to anyone irrespective of age, size and fitness level! Everyone from Kids to Senior Citizens can enjoy its amazing benefits. Its incredible variety (Zumba is done even in water-Aqua Zumba!) can keep even the most picky fitness fanatic satisfied!

It all started in Columbia in the mid 90's as celebrity fitness trainer "Beto" Perez walked into his aerobics class and realized he had forgotten his aerobics music. But luckily his backpack contained some tapes of traditional Latin salsa and merengue music he loved so much thus he improvised his class on the spot to these beats! To say the experiment was a success would be an understatement as the class soon became the most popular in his fitness facility-the revolutionary new Zumba fitness party was born!

After its initial success in Columbia, Perez teamed up with entrepreneurs Alberto Perlman and Alberto Aghion to bring the Zumba fitness concept to America, and then the rest of the world. The three young entrepreneurs trademarked the word Zumba® and set a goal to expand the brand all over the world. It caught on like a house on fire and now the whole world is rocking and partying to the mesmerizing beats of Zumba music!
